Sisterhood of the Traveling Trunk???????

If trunks could only talk!!!! What stories they would weave.

This trunk, belonged to my Great Grandma ( on my Dad's moms side ), who was born in Sweden. My Grandma R had it and upon her death in May, my Aunt Gail wanted it. When the family was back in Minnesota settling affairs and packing up Grandma's house, I heard that Aunt Gail wanted it but wasn't sure how to get it back here to Arizona. It just so happened that my son-in-law was in Michigan for a job so I asked him if he could pick it up from my Mom and Dad's. Sure, no problem was his response. So the trunk got loaded into the rented van in MN and took the ferry across Lake Michigan to Dad and Mom's. Just a few short days later Dad and Mom packed it up to bring to my nieces house where they were having a birthday to celebrate their son's 2nd birthday. Damian got in on a party for his travels. A few days later the trunk went back on the road from MI to AZ to our house. Once I had the trunk in hand, I called Aunt Gail to make arrangements to pass it on to her. Aunt Gail lives about a 40 min drive so she asked my cousin Cindi if she could pick it up. So last night cousin Cindi, her daughter Kirsten and I met for coffee and made the transfer complete! Wow, and that's what just happened over the past few weeks. I wonder what other stories that trunk holds!!!

And think about that trunk holding all your earthly belongings.

With the new airline charges we may have to think how much we travel with!!!

What great coincidence that Damian was willing and able to bring the trunk back to Gail.
You guys sure have a great addition to your family; and our family.
