I'm A Failure!!!!!

I am a failure at cleansing! I have given up after 2 1/2 days of pure misery! Caffeine headaches, nauseousness and tiredness. I had been teetering all morning about whether to continue or not. When I talked to my Dr. before my procedure this morning and told him what I was doing he said "why?", that will screw up your electrolytes, "don't do it". That's what I was waiting to hear to push me over the edge and breakdown and have a salad around 2:30pm this afternoon. I admit that I am not strong when it comes to this. More power to those who can, my hat is off to you!

Saying Goodbye to the old Weider Pro!

We had a Weider Home Gym that we replaced with a new piece of equipment a few weeks ago. Neither Mike or Missy had room for it so we asked Phil's nephew Justin if he wanted it (Julie's son). He said yes, so he and a few buddies came over today to pick it up. Phil and I had a hell of a time getting it to the garage a few weeks ago but those three guys picked it up with no problem!

On another note, I am on Day 2 of my cleanse and am feeling just yukky! I've had caffiene headaches for two days now. I'm having a spinal block in the morning, so per instructions from the Surgicenter, I haven't been able to take any Excedrin for it. I wonder if this is really worth it! The cleanse consists of drinking 1 quart of salt water first thing in the morning, 60 oz of lemonade made with real lemons, 100% Maple Syrup and cayenne pepper during the day and a cup of herbal laxative tea @ night. I did okay on the water yesterday but only got down about 30 oz of the lemonade. Today was worse, I only got down about 25 oz of salt water and no lemonade, just a little water. My headaches are also making me nauseas. Hopefully, after my block tomorrow morning I'll be able to start off a bit better. I'm still game to hold in there at least a few more days. I think that if I wasn't such an iced mocha and tea drinker I wouldn't be so nearly bad off. I'll keep you posted!

Master Cleanse!

I am on Day 1 of "The Master Cleanse".
Damian's old roommate had great results detoxing so I'm game! It will last for a minimum of 10 days, which at the moment seems like a lifetime! What you see on my counter is all I can have during the course of the cleanse. I'll periodically post updates!

Nancy's Birthday Dinner-Ladie's Night Out Gang!

Wednesday night, 7 of our Ladie's Night Out gang met to celebrate Nancy's birthday. Her actual birthday had been in January but because of a family emergency it was cancelled until Wednesday night. We went to Dave's Barbecue. Awesome sauces! It's fun to get together, we don't do it often enough though! Last Saturday, while Phil was in Detroit, Sharon, Sadie and I met for lunch and a movie (Definately Maybe). Then on Sunday, Mike and I met at the show to see Jumpers.

Dad and Mom Payne's 60th Wedding Anniversary

Also, Mom Payne's 80th Birthday! All the Payne clan gathered in Detroit last Saturday night, Feb 16th for the grand celebration! Gregg flew in from Vancouver and Phil, Missy, Herb and Julie flew in from Phoenix. The rest of the siblings are all located in the Detroit area. From what I hear this was the first time in 30 years that the whole family has been together at the same time. Mom and Dad Payne were surprised by Julie on Friday night, but Herb, Gregg, Phil and Missy surprised them at the party. From what I hear, a great time was had by all!
