Shopping for Ginger's Baby Shower

After breakfast @ Missy's today, Phil and I went out shopping for work boots for him and our almost bi-weekly shopping @ Sam's. After we got home, Missy met me back at the house and we went out shopping. Of course, our first stop is always, always @ Seattle Espresso. They make the best iced mochas with Illy coffee. Yum!!!! After that stop, off we headed to Babys R' Us. Ginger, one of Missy's best friends, is having a baby shower in a few weeks. It will be their first, due in December. It's a boy! We ran a copy of the registry list when we got to the store and made our purchase pretty quick. When we saw the list we knew right off what we were going to get so no sense in wandering around. Besides, we quickly noticed when pulling into the parking lot that there was a "ROSS" conveniently located next door. Lucky us! You know what happened after that!!!!

Breakfast @ Missy's or was it Tiffany's?

This morning, Phil, Mike and I were invited to Missy's for breakfast. On the menu was homemade belgian waffles, eggs and sausages. What a feast we had! We were eating while the Cardinals were losing miserably to the Jets!!!! It didn't do the guys digestive systems any good. You may notice that Missy's place is looking more familiar to some. We moved our living room furniture to her house 6 weeks ago.

Welcome to Phil's "manspace"!

Phil has a "man space". Not quite a cave but it will do.

If your ever in the neighborhood, stop by for a cold one! We'd love to have ya!

"Spa Day today ......"

Spa Day for Casey today!

She goes to Jeannie's every 5-6 weeks for a bath, haircut and nail trim. She looks so pretty when I go to pick her up. She gets so excited when she knows that she is going for a ride in the car. Of course after we walk into Jeannie's and Jeannie has hold of her leash Casey can't seem to get enough traction on the tile floor to help her exit out the front door with me. I am told though that Casey settles down quickly for them.

Last night was Danielle's 24th!!!!

Last night we helped Dani celbrate her 24th birthday @ "The Monastery". It's a bar, restaurant, and has an outdoor game area. Dani is my brother-in-law Chris and Pam's daughter. In attendance by the family were Chris, Phil, me, Mike, Missy, Julie and Justin. Dani's boyfriend AJ set-up a surprise party for her and also invited, what looked to be like 25 of their friends as well. The Monastery has a number of sand volleyball pits, horseshoes and ping pong tables along with a dance floor and live band. We've been there a number of times over the years and fun is usually had by all! Pam wasn't able to make it because her mom had flown in from Detroit on Tuesday and had a terrible fall in her kitchen the day before she left. Her mom was in a lot of pain so didn't want to leave her alone. Hope she is doing better!

The house is finally on the road to recovery!

"We" have been busy laying new flooring in the house. It's funny how one job always leads to two more, then four more and so on. Phil replaced the flooring that was damaged by the water leak in the den. Of course, we went with a flooring that was darker than what we had so that prompted changing the flooring in the new game room (living room/dining room). That flooring was taken up and our master closet was done. (it was never done when we did the master bedroom, don't ask why!). When the base boards were taken up that damaged the walls so Phil patched and repainted all of the rooms. He did this all on his so called vacation! The flooring for the front exercise room is sitting in the hallway for when Phil has some "free" time! I didn't help much for that but I did clean out closets and got rid of a lot of stuff that I should have a long time ago. Big Brothers and Big Sisters did come out for a pickup. I also made some tab top panels for the kitchen window and the breakfast nook. Phil did a great job. There is enough of the flooring that we pulled up from the living room that Mike may use in his living room. Pergo gets two "clicks" out of it so that leaves one more lay down at Mike's.

Casey was exhausted by it all!!!!!!

"It's with a sad heart......"

It's with a sad heart that I let our friend's and family know that Damian and Missy have decided to go their separate ways and divorce. We wish only the best for Damian and whatever the future holds for him. Missy is in a very busy time of her life right now with a full time job, part time job and a junior @ ASU. She has gone thru the community college system for quite a few years since high school trying to get her AA in Criminology. She finally succeeded getting her AA degree in May. This fall she transferred to ASU to work on her BA. She is determined to get her BA in "record time" (2 1/2 years). Hopefully, her health will permit it. She has had mononucleosis for the past 6 months the Dr. said, so she may be pushing herself too much but she is highly motivated!

It's very awkward to know what to say or do at a time like this so I just haven't been blogging. It would have been quite noticeable to everyone that Damian was missing from the blog, since I included news from him quite often. Again, we wish only the best for him.
